We are happy to have Todd Gutkowski step into the role of Deputy Chief. This is an honor that he won’t taken lightly.

This is a milestone in the career of a man who has dedicated himself to service, leadership, and the safety of our village. Deputy Chief Gutkowski’s journey through law enforcement has been defined by integrity, commitment, and a genuine desire to make Alsip a safer, stronger place. His leadership has shaped officers, strengthened teams, and inspired those around him to rise to their best.

To the people of Alsip, Todd’s promotion is more than a title change. It’s a promise. A promise that the values he has carried throughout his career—fairness, courage, accountability, and compassion—will continue to guide him as he steps into this new role.

As he takes on the responsibilities of Deputy Chief, he carries with him the respect of his peers, the gratitude of this community, and the confidence of everyone. Alsip is better because of his service, and it will continue to be better because of his leadership.
