The Alsip Police Department would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Janet McCarthy for her generous donation, which made it possible for us to fully outfit our department’s first drone vehicle with the equipment needed for deployment.

This technology will enhance our ability to respond to calls for service, assist during critical incidents, improve situational awareness, and better serve and protect our community. The addition of drone capabilities provides officers with another valuable tool to safely and effectively support public safety operations.

On May 7, 2026, Janet was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of her generosity and continued support of the Alsip Police Department. We are thankful for community partners like Janet who help us continue advancing the services we provide to our residents and businesses.
