Alsip Police Department Joins the Fight Against Breast Cancer with the Pink Patch Project

This October, the Alsip Police Department is proud to participate in the Pink Patch Project, an initiative aimed at raising awareness about breast cancer.

Officers will be donning special pink patches on their uniforms throughout the entire month in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The Pink Patch Project is a national movement that encourages public safety employees to wear pink patches as a way to promote the life-saving benefits of early detection and early intervention. By sparking conversations within the community, these patches serve as a reminder of the critical importance of regular screenings and awareness in the ongoing battle against breast cancer.

During this month, if you see an officer with a pink patch, feel free to ask about the initiative and learn more about how early detection can save lives. The Alsip Police Department stands with those affected by breast cancer and hopes this simple but powerful symbol will inspire others to take action and prioritize their health.
